National Girl Scouts Day

The first Girl Scout meeting was conducted on March, 12, 1912 with only 18 members, today there are over 3 million members! To honor National Girl Scout Day, we invited local Girl Scout Troop 290 to pass out their famous cookies to our residents. 50 boxes of girl scout cookies were purchased with half going to the residents and the other half being donated to The Cookies for Troops program to benefit the U.S. troops abroad. Not only did the residents enjoy receiving their favorite box of cookies; some of them were former Girl Scouts themselves and enjoyed reminiscing about their troop days.
