The attempted assassination of United States President, Ronald Reagan, occurred on March 30th, 1981, just 69 days into his presidency. While leaving a speaking engagement at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., President Reagan and three others were shot and wounded by John Hinckley Jr. Bill Corbett, former Secret Service Agent, was not there for the attempt, but was assigned to former president Reagan’s detail after the shooting. Bill spoke about the incident and answered many questions that the residents had about that historic event. It was a very informative lecture.
