This month, Elidia Mendoza is celebrating her 25th anniversary working at The Fountains at The Carlotta. Elidia was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico with her parents and five siblings. When she was 16 years old she came to the United States. She attend Coachella Valley High School and after she graduated she worked various jobs. In 1991, she came to work here at The Fountains at The Carlotta and 25 years later she’s still loving her job as the Housekeeping Supervisor. When asked what is it about her job she enjoys she says, “I love the residents and the staff; they’re like my second family.” She already has a big family with three children and six grandchildren. When asked about when she will retire she says, ” I still have a lot more years ahead of me.” Elidia is one of The Fountains’ longest employed associates, but there are a few associates who aren’t far behind with Maria Rodriguez at 23 years and Juanita Bejarano with 17 years of service.
