During the month of July, all Directors came together and created a Backpack Giveaway program. We opened the program to all associates and their school-aged children. Directors contributed their portion of donations and included fundraising with associates by offering a Blue Jean Friday and different types of fundraising. With the money they raised, they were able to purchase backpacks and many school supplies for different school-aged kids from elementary, middle and high school levels. We provided a fun and jazzy dinner for all residents, associates and kids. All of the associates were very appreciative of the event and many of the kids said they were grateful and were looking forward to the new school year.
